In The Pigman the characters are struggling but putting themselves in complicated situations that that could soon regret.

The events are complicating the conflict further because the main female character goes along with the male main character who doesn't make very good choices.

Yes and no, because most of the things the male main character does is very bad and i hardly think it will stop but maybe with some influence from the female main lead he will stop.
