In my group, discussing the strength of the characters in the novel The Pigman, was proved to actually be quite easy.
We compared where we each placed John, the story's main character, to which we all had seemed to put in him in exactly the same spot (3/4 to the end of the line at "strong"). Next, we compared our placement of Mr. Pignati himself. To which yet again we had placed him at the weakest possible increment, due to his overall weak personality.
Lastly, we looked at our last main character, Lorraine. This was slightly more challenging as we all had different ideals of how strong she seemed to be as a character but eventually all came to a consensus that she was a rather lifeless, weak character.
I agree with you. Our group does think Lorraine is a pretty weak character, and John is a pretty strong character.
