I think that Lorraine is struggling with telling the truth. She is really putting off the fact that she is lying. She made up a charity so she could talk to Pignati longer. John and Lorraine both accepted the money Pignati offered. Now Lorraine is feeling bad about lying. She has been putting up with it when she should tell the truth. This leads up to ask, what events have complicated her conflict further?
They went to the zoo with the man they lied to and this is when she becomes really sad towards Mr. Pignati. She is really regretting taking his money. She also is regretting declining his offer to go to the zoo with him. He isn't doing anything wrong but the kids are and she feels bad for that. I don't think that the kids will be able to solve this problem with out any harm because I think that he will think they have been lying the whole time, about there interest, charity, and their kindness. I also think that he won't forgive them and think that the kids betrayed him. I feel that these reasons back up my opinions and infrences
