About Paul Zindel (Fahad)

The writer of "The Pigman", is Paul Zindel. Paul has written more than 50 books, but the most popular ones are, The Pigman's Legacy and  My Darling, My Hamburger. He has written a sequel for the Pigman which is The Pigman's Legacy, in addition he has written an autobiographical The Pigman and Me. I think the the book Pigman is about him and how he felt when he was younger or how he feels now that he is old, when people messed with him.

Paul was born and raised in Staten Island in New York. After teaching in high school science for several years, he decided to become a playwright. His first play, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-moon Marigolds, won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. His Drama caught the eye of a children's book editor Charlotte Zolotow. She contacted him and and asked him to try writing a novel for teenagers. That's when he wrote Pigman. The Pigman has won over 5 awards.
