(Lily c.) Main Character Reflections

John's actions tell us a lot about who he is as a person. In the story he tells about how he always has this annual bomb in the boys bathroom that he sets off.He never gets caught which means he must be pretty sly and smart. John also has a meeting with his friends every once in awhile to prank call strangers and see who can keep the stranger on the phone the longest. This tells us that he is not afraid to get into trouble and is not very shy around random people.Since he and Lorraine made this whole book about the pigman he must be curious. By talking with the pigman he seems very social as well.

His habits involve pranks, joking, cursing. He likes anything that involve making people laugh embarrassing people, and making new friends. He dislikes school, teachers, or people that tell him what to do. I like my main character. He is very daring and doesn't care what gets him into trouble.By having these characteristics he seems very interesting to me. I feel like anything can happen with him and that makes it more intriguing to read.

  1. (Lauren's comment) I agree with you, but I also think that he is not very smart. He puts bombs in the bathroom and assumes he will not get caught. If he keeps doing it, I think that he will get caught. I think you we still have a lot to learn about John though.

  2. I really like how you are really descriptive with the character, John. I also like include text evidence. I would try to tell you to something the you need work on, but there is nothing wrong. Good job.

  4. I really liked your opinions in the begining. I agree with you that he can be smart. He does have some clever ideas but I wouldn't take it that far

  6. I feel the same way about John, he can be sly and clever out times, but outright dumb at other times. I liked the points you touched on in this reflection.
