Man vs. Man because Lorraine and John are struggling to see who should write the book. Lorraine thinks she writes it better but so does John. They both have different points and opinions so the book is different. They both say the same points but in their perspective which makes the book better. I don't think they will solve their conflict, I think it is going to be this way the whole book.
It is also Man vs. man because John smokes and drinks causing himself harm. It said his dad was an alcoholic too which is where he probably got it from, I'm guessing.
I disagree with you. I think it is Man vs. self. I think this because the characters are struggling with bad habits and self esteem problems
