Natalie Keller (Clique for John)
John probably would be known for being annoying but not popular. He isn't really sporty, he just has bad habits. He doesn't turn in his work on time, it even said in the book that he had 42 assignments missing. He is a high-school student and it said that he plays pranks on everybody and only has a few friends. This character is a bad influence on everybody and doesn't care if he fails in school.

I agree, out of all of the posts I've seen on this subject, although simple, is the most accurate. I've seen people try to pull arguments out of thin air about how John would be some "super popular attractive dude" when that's definitely not the case. In the book he's described as plain and average. I really like in your post that you point out that the text itself says he doesn't turn in his work, that really provides credibility to your statement.
